Villainous Magic Returns: Inside This Year's Most Wicked Halloween Spookctacular - Villains Night

When Director Kelby Tyrrell and newly appointed Associate Director Chris Vasquez joined forces to plan this year's Halloween production, they knew they had to raise the bar. Now in its fourth year, Encore Performing Arts and Aspire Performing Co.'s Villains Night Halloween Spooktacular is promising audiences their most spine-tingling show yet.

"We're pushing creative boundaries this year," says Tyrrell, whose vision has guided the show since its inception. "Working with Chris has brought fresh energy to our performances, and seeing how each of our Aspire groups brings their own unique flavor to the villainous mix is truly magical."

Indeed, all five of Aspire's performance groups will take the stage at the Electric Theater on October 29th and 30th. From the advanced showmanship of Eclipse, to the dynamic energy of Blaze and Inferno, to the rising talents of Ember and Spark, each group adds their own spectacular touch to this wickedly entertaining showcase. The result is a perfectly balanced blend of skill levels and performance styles that keeps audiences spellbound from start to finish.

Building on their commitment to inclusive theater, this year's production continues its tradition of offering a sensory-friendly performance on October 28th at 7:30 PM. Developed by Encore's dedicated Sensory Committee, this specialized show provides a more relaxed environment where everyone can experience the magic of musical theater. This free performance (with required reservation) ensures that all families can enjoy the spooky spectacular in a comfortable setting.

The show features both beloved villain anthems and original compositions by songwriter Adam Record, creating a perfect blend of familiar favorites and fresh, villainous ventures. From classic film antagonists to Broadway's most notorious characters, the Electric Theater will be brimming with delightfully dark musical numbers.
