About the younger roles

We want to be straight with families. There are roughly six roles written for younger performers, and we expect many more Young Artists to audition than there are places. Auditioning is not a guarantee of casting, and not being cast is never a reflection of your Young Artist’s ability or their future with Encore.

Questions before you register? Get in touch and we will talk it through.

Schedule

Rehearsals & performances

Cast members commit to the rehearsal schedule and the full run of shows.

You can audition for both, but you can only be cast in one

A Christmas Carol rehearses October 3 to November 28, Monday through Thursday evenings and Saturdays. Peter Pan Jr. rehearses across the same weeks, ahead of its November performances. There is no version of the schedule where a Young Artist can do both.

You are welcome to audition for both and see where you are cast. Just know that if you are offered a place in each, you will need to choose. If you already know which you would pick, tell us at your audition and it helps us cast well.
